After 20 years of using Microsoft Dynamics GP, Maxim Healthcare Services was ready to make the transition to a modern, cloud-based ERP system. With GP’s limitations and upcoming end of life, along with Maxim Healthcare’s financial reporting software sunsetting, it was time to upgrade.

Knowing the complexities of an ERP system migration, Maxim Healthcare was in search of a solution that would be relatively easy to convert to.

How We Helped

Maxim Healthcare’s back-office applications team lead, Jamie Hennessey, knew who to turn to when the time came to transition to a new ERP — Michael Marinaro. Having a longstanding relationship for almost two decades as a Gross Mendelsohn client, Jamie wanted Mike at the helm of this project as he understood their current system and needs. They decided moving to Business Central was the best option.

Along with Mike, Nancy Schafer and Patrick McLean helped Maxim Healthcare transition to Business Central, adopt a new financial reporting system, Solver, and implement add-on applications to better fit their internal processes.

Maxim Healthcare ended up having to push the go-live date back a month, which meant Mike would be on vacation when the transition occurred. Even from Guam, Mike was still able to make sure everything went accordingly!

Maxim Healthcare Services modernized their business through upgrading their ERP system from GP to the cloud with Business Central, and through add-on solutions that have transformed their business functions for the better.

“Mike has never not come through for me. The addition of Patrick and Nancy working with us was great. They were both very responsive and knowledgeable,” said Jamie. “We were very manual in the past and now we’re able to automate without a lot of internal coding and development. We were outdated, so it was like the whole world opened up for us from a flexibility perspective.”
